The training of trainers (ToT) plans to develop the capacity of around 25 training facilitators on disaster risk management or resilience with fundamental and practical knowledge to develop and operationalize a business continuity plan (BCP), which can be tailored for any kind of organization.  The use of the term business does not mean that a BCP is only applicable for commercial enterprises. The course is aimed at micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) owners, their partners, and supporting local actors such as large enterprises, chambers of commerce or industry associations, government and non-government organizations, or civil society organizations (CSOs) working on the development or humanitarian sector. By the end of the training course, the participants will be able to:

  • explain the elements comprising the Business Continuity Management Framework;
  • describe the processes of business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessment;
  • analyze the impacts of disaster risks;
  • develop business continuity strategies;
  • plan for the exercise, test, and review of a BCP; and
  • facilitate training and or orientation session on business continuity management.’
