Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR)

The course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to search for, stabilize, and extricate victims trapped in collapsed structures using the safest and most appropriate procedures.

The course was developed by the United States Agency for International Development, Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID – BHA), Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), and National Society for Earthquake Technology – Nepal. It has been delivered in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Thailand, and the Philippines.
