Localization at the Frontlines: Advancing Locally Led Disaster Preparedness is the second webinar under ADPC’s series, “A Decade of Localization in Practice: From Sustainable Partnerships to Locally Led Preparedness.” The webinar will highlight practical examples of locally led disaster preparedness in the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on community-based disaster risk management, early warning systems, and the role of local actors in strengthening resilience. The session will explore how locally led initiatives can be designed, supported, and scaled while remaining connected to national disaster risk management systems. It will also discuss ways to integrate scientific, technological, and community-based approaches to translate localization into practical preparedness outcomes at the frontline.
