First Refresher Training on Emergency Assessment for CHF-EAT and in-country ASEAN ERAT Team

The training is co-organized by the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) and Cambodia Humanitarian Forum (CHF).The event was organized to build and strengthen the humanitarian actors’ capacity for the emergency assessment team (EAT) and in-country emergency regional assessment team (ERAT) on the data collection in terms of damage and needs of affected people. There are approximately planned 26 participants including CHF members (EAT members), the Federation of Association of Smal and Medium Enterprises of Cambodia (FASMEC), and NCDM/PCDM staff. The training is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (the foundation) and the United States Agency for International Development Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (USAID BHA) with coordination supports from the Preparedness Partnership of Cambodia (PPC) Secretariat. 

The objectives of the session include:

·  To share experience and learning between ERAT and EAT team in data collection by using HRF assessment tools 

·  To strengthen the network between ERAT and EAT team 

·  To share good experience and challenges on flood assessment in 2020

There are an estimated 26 participants to partake in this workshop including CHF members (EAT members), FASMEC, and NCDM/PCDM staff.
