Rights-Based and Inclusive Approaches to Early Warning, Evacuation and Camp Management training manual roll out (FIRE)
This training is organized to introduce Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) practitioners and professionals to the core concepts, knowledge, and understanding of rights-based and inclusive approaches to early warning, evacuation, and camp management. Comprised of four modules, this course introduces the rights-based and inclusive approach to DRRM and its application to early warning, evacuation, and camp management.
Integrating gender equality and inclusion in a human rights-based approach will help those affected understand the interrelationships between inclusivity and mainstream DRR interventions in future development plans. In addition, the participants will contribute by bringing the knowledge and experience learned in the training to the local level.
Key objectives:
- Applying rights-based and inclusive approaches in practical working settings
- Improving the protection of people and their assets from disaster risk
- Promoting the rights-based approach outlined in the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR 2015)
