Trained, Resilient Urban Community Volunteers as First Responders in a Disaster Prone Capital

The story is about sharing a real-life experience in a fire incident in the old city area of the capital by the urban community volunteers who received Refreshers’ training on Collapsed structure, Search and Rescue, first aid, and fire fighting under USAID’s “Strengthening Earthquake Resilience in Bangladesh (SERB)” program from 2013 to 2019.
