Hospital Emergency Response Plan (HERP) Guideline

Hospital Emergency Response Plan (HERP) is a comprehensive plan which focuses on how a hospital will respond to an actual threat from early warning, activation, command, and control. HERP ensures the safety of the hospital environment and reduces future vulnerabilities within the hospital facilities. This guideline describes the guiding principles and processes for developing HERP for any health facility.

HERP tool has been conceptualized for Bangladesh, by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the SERB program, as a national tool used to frame a strategy to address and manage emergencies.
