NPP National Consultation Meeting
The NPP National Consultation Meeting is a significant gathering under the Asian Preparedness Partnership (APP) program. The Nepal Preparedness Partnership (NPP), has been instrumental in enhancing disaster preparedness and response actions since its inception in 2017.
Program Objective:
The proposed national-level consultation meeting will facilitate critical discussions on the future course of program initiatives amongst various people/groups who are directly or indirectly engaged in the project as beneficiaries, stakeholders, or implementers.
This Consultation meeting will play a crucial role in building consensus, addressing concerns, and ensuring that all relevant parties led by the National Steering Committees will contribute to developing an action plan for NPP under APP Phase 3.
Key Objectives:
- Engage key stakeholders for comprehensive program development and institutionalization.
- Assess current risk landscapes and develop interventions for effective DRRM.
- Focus on local preparedness, national partnerships, and cross-cutting learning.
Participants/Invitees:
Government institutions, UN agencies, academia, private sector representatives, local and international organizations, media, and development partners.
