Training on Proposal Formulation and Technical Report Writing

Proposal formulation and report writing serve important functions in humanitarian agencies and are common and necessary tasks for staff in various levels and roles throughout the organization. Nevertheless, writing proposals and reports can be challenging. Availability of funds largely depends on the quality of project proposals. Keeping this in view, the Pakistan Resilience Partnership has planned a three (3) day training workshop on proposal formulation and technical report writing from 5-7 December 2022 in Islamabad.

Key objectives:

• Familiarizing participants with basic proposal elements, formats, and summaries
• Understanding proposal components such as the needs assessment, project design frameworks, problem statement and justification, project goals and objectives, project outputs and outcomes, and project strategy and implementation planning.
• Familiarizing participants with monitoring and evaluation frameworks
• Understanding the elements of a good budget
• Highlighting the importance of quality reporting in a competitive funding environment
• Familiarizing participants with key elements of technical reports, progress reports, activity reports, routine reports, field trip reports, and meetings reports
