Training on Basic Disaster Management Concepts for SMEs at the Sub-national Level (Rattanakiri)
FASMEC observes that disaster-related work is very important for the private sector. FASMEC members who have attended relevant trainings and workshops on disaster risk management become significantly more prepared for disaster events. However, many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the network still having limited knowledge on disaster management work and request for trainings to be held with local enterprises.
FASMEC, in close collaboration with NCDM, is organizing a series of 2-day trainings at the sub-national level at different locations and dates to enable SMEs to better understand disaster prevention from the private sector context. It aims to provide knowledge to SMEs at the sub-national level with a clear understanding on disaster management for resilient business operations. The training will focus on the DRM concepts, DRM mechanism in Cambodia, vulnerability and coping capacity, terminologies, HVCA, disaster assessment, risk classifications, etc.
Key objectives:
- Providing clear disaster management knowledge to SMES at the subnational level
- Building disaster management skills for SMEs to cope with future disaster events and/or developing any necessary action plan
