29th National Disaster Risk Reduction Forum – “Cambodia’s Progress in the Implementation of the Sendai Framework”
Recognizing that the period to 2023 marks the midpoint in implementing the Sendai Framework, NCDM decided to organize the 29th National DRR Forum to be held on 13th July 2022 under the theme “Cambodia’s Progress in the Implementation of the Sendai Framework.” This event will provide an opportunity to actively engage with relevant government ministries, development partners, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. In addition to raising the level of progress on integrating disaster risk reduction into policies, programs, and investments, the forum will accelerate the path to achieving the goal of the Sendai Framework and its seven global targets by 2030.
The objectives include:
- Relaunching the National Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction
- Discussing the progress of the implementation of the National Strategic Plan for Disaster Risk Reduction, which contributes to the achievement of the priority activities of the Sendai Framework 2015-2030
- Addressing the context of recent changes, challenges, and gaps; sharing best practices, lessons learned, and progress on the implementation of the National Strategic Plan for Disaster Risk Reduction towards the Sendai Framework priorities
