The Asian Preparedness Partnership (APP): Pioneering A Multi-Stakeholder Localization Model in DRR

The Asian Preparedness Partnership (APP), launched in 2017, is ADPC’s flagship model for promoting a multi-stakeholder approach to localization in disaster risk reduction and climate actions. The partnership includes ADPC member countries—Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Nepal, and Sri Lanka—and is supported by the Gates Foundation. APP facilitated the establishment of National Preparedness Partnerships (NPPs) in each member country, bringing together governments, civil society, the private sector, and other key stakeholders to create locally-driven disaster preparedness and response strategies.
