This technical review report, prepared by the Bangladesh Preparedness Partnership (BPP), led by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR), with technical assistance from the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and financial support from the Gates Foundation, provides guidance to the government for developing the National Plan for Disaster Management (NPDM) 2026–2030. Building on the current NPDM (2021–2025), the report is informed by stakeholder consultations, national workshops, and document analysis. It reviews legal and policy frameworks and aligns with global agendas such as the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and climate commitments. The report offers key recommendations to enhance policy coherence, monitoring, and implementation for more effective disaster risk management in Bangladesh.
