It explains the processes and mechanisms to facilitate a coordinated response by authorities from the national to local levels. The publication also elaborates on the hazard profile and disaster history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as the humanitarian architecture of the province. It also provides information on the activation of the response plan, including the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders before, during, and after disasters as well as the provision of emergency services and public assistance immediately after a disaster to save lives, reduce health impacts, ensure public safety, and meet the basic needs of the people affected by the disasters.
