A consultative Workshop to formally establish Nepal Preparedness Partnership (NPP), the national structure of the Asian Preparedness Partnership was organized in Sauraha, Chitwan from 23 to 25 December 2017. The workshop was jointly organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and Asian Preparedness Partnership (APP) under the Strengthening Capacity of Government and Local Humanitarian Organizations program, being implemented by the ADPC with financial support from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The consultative workshop discussed the formal establishment of the national structure of APP, called as Nepal Preparedness Partnership. 65 participants representing government, the private sector, local humanitarian organizations, academia, and media participated in the meeting.
- Formally establish the National structure of APP;
- Approve the governing structure and ToR for the steering committee; and
- Discuss and approve roadmaps and work plans for the APP in Nepal.
